ROMANS - FROM SIN to LIBERATION
In view of Paul’s personal plans, Paul wrote to introduce himself to a church he had never visited. At the same time he set forth a full and orderly statement of the gospel to make sure his ideas are clearly presented to the Romans rather than having his opposers misrepresent him. Paul’s letter to the Romans was considered the key scriptural document for the first 300 years of the Church’s existence.
ROMANS 8 v 2 - 4
For God has done what the law, weakened by the flesh, could not do. By sending his own Son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin, he condemned sin in the flesh, in order that the righteous requirement of the law might be fulfilled in us, who walk not according to the flesh but according to the Spirit.
